We are pleased to announce that we have been selected as Montana's first Rodney Lough Jr. Master Wilderness Photographer Dealer.
We're still working out the details and waiting on our opening order, but soon you will be able to experience wilderness photography like never before. This is no ordinary photography.....you may have seen his work in his Las Vegas studio and now you will be able to experience and purchase his works here in Montana.
We'll let you know more as we progress, but for now be sure to follow this link to begin your journey.
From Rodney's Facebook page:
Rodney Lough Jr., an award-winning Master Wilderness Photographer, is beloved by fine art collectors worldwide. Renowned for the vibrant colors and vivid textures of his landscape photography, Rodney is a purist who captures what nature creates, using no color filters or darkroom deception.
Among Rodney’s many honors are a Master of Photography Degree from the Professional Photographers of America, commendations from both the United Nations and the US Senate, and the placement of one of his works in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian. Rodney is also the owner of the largest single artist gallery in the world, One Jefferson in San Francisco, as well as galleries in both Sausalito and Las Vegas.
Rodney knows the outdoors like few do. His family has been traversing the hidden corners of this country since before it was even a country, and he’s been hiking and camping the wild places of America since he was just a small boy on his father’s back. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, he is a completely self-taught photographer who has been viewing life through the lens since the age of 12. His father's best friend, a photographer, noted young Rodney's eye for composition and encouraged him to photograph his world.
His passion for nature and photography were always part of his life, but it wasn’t clear to Rodney at first that this was his true career path. He would veer in another direction for a time, earning a Masters Degree in mathematics and statistic, then entering the corporate world.
One day when he was traveling in Colorado, a stunning mountain view inspired a profound moment of clarity that made him realize that his true calling was right in front of him. Camera in hand and boots on the trail was where he belonged, not surrounded by cubicles. From that moment on, Rodney’s love of adventure and photography took hold of his destiny and dramatically changed both his life and career.
"The world is a remarkable place full of beauty and splendor," Rodney exclaims. "To witness the simple grandeur of creation, the miracle of nature, is perhaps all that we need. The peace received while viewing a leaf turned color at the height of fall is immense and divine."
