Charles Fritz Honored

The accolades continue for local artist and friend Charles Fritz.

At the 2013 annual meeting of the "National Lewis and Clark Trail Heritage Foundation" Charles Fritz was awarded their "Distinguished Service Award" - "For painstaking research and beautiful and historically accurate paintings of the Lewis and Clark Expedtion which furthers the mission of the Foundation".

On Tuesday, October 15, 2013 a book review appeared in the Wall Street Journal of Simon Whichester's new book, "The Men Who United the States" which uses Charles Fritz's painting, "The Arrival of Captain Lewis at the Great Falls of the Missouri" on the cover.

And finally, Charles Fritz's collection, "An Artist with the Corps of Discovery ~ One Hundred Paintings Illustrating the Journals of Lewis and Clark" will be on exhibit through December 31, 2013 at the Woolaroc Museum, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

If you can't make it to the Woolaroc, you can always purchase the book which contains and describes the 100+ paintings in this fantastic exhibit.

Congratulations Charlie.  We're proud to call you "friend".

You really make it seem so easy with your presentation but I find this topic
to be really something which I think I would never understand.
It seems too complex and extremely broad for me.
I'm looking forward for your next post, I will try to get the hang of it!
